Dinners which are excellent and continental breakfasts CAN be had at the main lodge, but other options, such as La Sages, are nearby. We would definitely return to this accommodation! We have travelled extensively over the past 40 years, firstly in all-inclusives and then more recently in condo apartments in tropical destinations. But never a villa - per se.
HIGH TIDE - GLASS BOTTOM KAYAK AND SNORKEL AT THE TWO BAYS
Your beautiful property did not disappoint us. It was magical - the three sided veranda, the breeze off the Atlantic, the infinity pool, the helpful and friendly people at Cabier - most specifically and with much praise and thanks to Alexander, Kenesha, KellyAnn, Steven, Iris, Bruno, the goats and the disastrously bad, but unforgettably awesome approach road.
The entire experience was all so very special for us. All was as promised, and more.
A Sailing Adventure Around the Delmarva Peninsula
The infinity pool looking out on the bay to the south was magical. We spent many days on the deck sunning, swimming and enjoying our private and unobstructed view. Two Bays Villa should be a "Top Secret" property, in my opinion. We consider ourselves fortunate to have had the opportunity of staying here and enjoying the ambience and the friendly staff and wonderful cuisine of Cabier Ocean Lodge.
Many of our guests find their day starts to fill up once they have had a swim in the warm sea, lie on a beach lounger, and sit on their veranda in one of the swing seats or around the pool reading a good book. The more energetic can enjoy snorkelling in the sheltered waters round the headland or strolling along the paths that wind around the coast either guided or not. Nature lovers can see pelicans, frigate birds, egrets, herons and the occasional osprey fishing as well as humming birds, doves and butterflies in the garden without stirring from their veranda.
There are local knowledgeable guides who organise trips to the magnificent rainforest that covers much of central Grenada, to see waterfalls, beautiful flowers, birds, butterflies, monkeys. Perhaps have a day in St George's just wandering around the beautiful harbour with its shops, restaurants and market and taking in its history through its historic forts guarding the harbour. Cabier organises tours to the rainforest with waterfall swimming as well as to the other main attractions on the island, nutmeg plantations, cocoa estate at Belmont and the Seven Rivers Rum distillery — where they still use 18th century methods and a water wheel to produce their rum.
Carnival is the first week of August. It is colourful, noisy with bands and exuberant with hundreds of locals parading and dancing in bizarre costumes to loud Soca music around the harbour front with a day and night parade Midnight Mass watched by locals and visitors alike - and of course lots of local food and drink. It is a stunningly beautiful island with friendly locals who like to chat.
Hire a car Cabier will arrange - minimum 3 days hire — delivered to Cabier or picked up at airport and go and explore the spectacular interior and coasts. Shop in the markets for local produce to tempt you to cook and buy spices, which make great gifts.
